Waters Estate is in an ideal location for enjoying
all that Kona has to offer. Being a block from the
ocean and Kailua's only white sand beach, is only
the beginning....
Just south of our location is the greatest snorkeling
beach in Kona, Kahalu'u Beach Park, where the water
is usually calm and shallow. Even beginning snorkelers
will see lots of reef fish and even turtles and eels.
About two miles further south will bring you to Keauhou Harbor, with its boat
rentals, sail cruises, and scuba tours
Right in the same area you will find the Kona Country Club where you can play
either the par 72 mountain course or the par 72 ocean course.
Four miles
north of Falling Waters sits the quaint town of Kailua-Kona.
Once a fishing village, today
Kailua-town caters to visitors with fine restaurants,
shops,
churches, art galleries, and water related activities.
A
short drive from Kailua-town, north on Highway
19 will bring you to our major small boat harbor,
Honokohau Marina, where you can charter a fishing
boat,
take a sail, have lunch, or go on a scuba charter.
Continuing
your drive north, you will come to the major hotels
along the "Gold
Coast" including the Hilton, Mauna Lani, and Mauna Kea, each with
its own beach open to the public.
In
this same are is what many consider one of the top
beaches in the world at Hapuna State Park.
A day trip to the south from Falling Waters will take you through Kona Coffee country where you can stop and take a tour of a coffee
processing
operation.
Macadamia nuts are also plentiful in South Kona and tours are available
there as well.
But the real jewel of this day trip
is Volcanoes National Park where
you can witness up close the power of Madame Pele, the goddess of
the volcano.
Other day trips from
centrally located Falling Waters might include a drive
up the Saddle
Road (check with your rental car company first)
to the top
of often snow capped Mauna Kea, to the huge observatory there. Or a trip
to Waimea
where the world famous Parker Ranch is located. Or continue to the norther
most tip of Hawaii to Hawi and Kapaau, quaint "artsy" towns.
Or trek to Honokaa, the gateway to the mysterious Waipo Valley.
Whether your interest is water sports, horse back riding, hiking,
exploring, touring, flora, whale watching, real estate shopping,
or just plain relaxing,
this is the place! And Falling Waters Estate is the perfect jump off
spot for you and your party. |
